MOSCOW, Sep 15 (PRIME) -- Qatar, the world's third-largest producer of natural gas, will not be able to fully replace Russian gas on the European market, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani told the French magazine Le Point late on Wednesday.
“We want to help European countries and will supply them with gas in the coming years, but those who think that we can replace Russian gas are mistaken because it is an important source on the world market,” he said.
Al Thani also said that Western countries should not indiscriminately impose sanctions against Russia in the energy sector because they complicate the situation for the whole world.
